My inventions Writing Task
A large toy company has asked you to invent a new toy for children.
It can be a completely original toy or an improved version of a toy that
already exists. Write a page explaining what your toy is and how it works.
Plan your writing and think about:
What kind of toy do you want children to buy?
Is it something that encourages their imagination and creativity?
Does it help them to learn or practice a skill?
What are the 3 most important parts of your toy? What are these called?
What does each part do?
Can children play with your toy alone, or do they need friends to play?
Sick of playing with your old, dull, untrendy toys? Then the Truth or dare
splurter is a game for you! It is an awesome toy/game made to make the
famous game truth or dare significantly more interesting.
It is a 3D cloud that you can insert cards* into, then close the flap and push
the button, then it will splurt a card of the mouth! The game comes as a set,
with the 3D cloud, instructions and pre-written dares and truth cards.
You can make your own cards too.
*These cards have either dares and truths on them
Writing new cards will encourage kid’s creativity. This is the perfect game to
play with your family or friends, you need two or more players. Most of the
pre-written dares involve getting active. The cloud is made up of many
different things; coloured thick plastic, slots/flaps, a button, a piece of
string, a spring and a platform of which the cards lay on.
How to use it;
First, you open the flap at the back and insert 10 cards at a time
Secondly, close the flap
Next, pull the string towards you
Then quickly let go and push the button
Now, place your hand at the front of the cloud
Finally, get ready to either get moving or to spill the tea…
How it works;
When you insert the cards they sit on a small piece of plastic that goes all
the way from the front to the back.
When you pull the string it pulls back the button which pulls back a spring on
the inside. After, when you let go and push the button the spring stretches
and pushes a card out.
Trust me when you start playing you will NEVER, EVER want to stop!
